Disposable diapers versus reusable cloth diapers has been one of the biggest debates I've seen. The women who are religious with cloth diapers aren't afraid to point out how they're right and you're wrong, and they don't seem to care about your point of view. I have had a few friends who've just had their first babies, and this is exactly how they are. Now, I'm not against using washable diapers if that's your thing, go for it! But some of us have a different perspective.
For those of you who only have time for disposables like me, try not to stress over the prices you pass in the super market. When you do the math it seems a little improbable given your financial status, but you most likely won't be buying them there anyway, and here's why! Amazon is a great place to buy in bulk without subscription fees (unless you're interested in Prime or Mom). You can buy Luvs Premium Stretch Diapers in a size 1 for $0.12 per diaper! Note, the size and quantity does change the box price, so pay attention. Because you're placing over $25 worth of goods in your cart, you will be eligible for free shipping! Be sure to take advantage of the free shipping and buy wipes when you purchase diapers, like these Huggies Fragance Free Wipe refill packs 600 count for $0.02/wipe! You can find other various brands for around $0.03 or $0.04 if you have a preference.
Amazon offers the opportunity to sign up for a monthly subscription at no extra charge, where you'll receive a small discount within a regularly delivered schedule. Personally, it's not for me at the moment. After I have my baby I'll see what we go through and may consider this. My mother-in-law lives by it to receive her organic coffee, but I'm just not a believer yet.
