Invitation Shopping for Baby

Why buy store brand when you can snag top brand name clothing, shoes and toys for the same price or cheaper? If you're looking to keep your baby in quality shirts, pants, skirts or dresses, there are a few online shops you need to check out. Many better known invitation only shopping sites feature clothing for adults, such as MyHabit, Gilt, etc. But what you may not know is that there are many geared toward babies and children that don't get the same hype other sites do.

This week I have been doing a little research to see what I could find on a place such as Rue La La, since it's my favorite for handbags and shoes (even if I'm just window shopping!). Many Moms say it's best to stick with the sites you know, and just wait for child oriented deals to pop up... but I'm impatient! So, I've joined a few that might be helpful to a few other first time Moms.

Keekoo is a members-only site that features daily deals from bump to birth, and beyond! The prices seem to be what you could expect to pay at Walmart for way cuter baby needs, and much much lower! For example, I'm really digging this nursing wrap (a modern alternative to modest breastfeeding). Regularly $40, marked to $20, and you can't find that on eBay - I checked.

Zulily is another popular favorite among forum Mom, posting new deals daily! I'm serious, they really do update their current promotions, and I know this because I received an email notification this morning. They have the cutest items from Taggies running today that I just love. Although I can't buy anything at the moment, it gives me inspiration for the future (thank you Pinterest).

As I mentioned a moment ago, Gilt, is a rather popular site that features a section dedicated to babies and kids. Although some of the current deals are a little beyond my price range, they are featuring a Win Your Dream Nursery contest through Pinterest!

Haute Look, is another member site that offers deals on some kid oriented items. Most of them aren't organized for younger children or infants, but there are some great prices on toddler appropriate clothing and up. Check them out, and see what they have to offer.

I feel as though I've left the best for last! By far Totsy provides amazing prices on some of the most adorable and useful baby items around. They also feature clothing, shoes and accessories for Moms, etc., but I'm in love with the baby stuff!
