Dealing with Rejection

Emotions are a huge part of pregnancy, and I had always thought I could be a tad dramatic long before I became pregnant. My husband says I get a little agitating once in a while, but only if I bug him into answering my question as to whether I can be or not. I must admit I've enjoyed picking on him, but it just makes my uncomfortable experience more fair.

For the past few days we've been discussing how you can save money on baby items by scouring eBay listings. The process can be rather time consuming, but the end results are amazing once you total up those numbers and compare them to retail pricing. Sometimes though buyers have to deal with rejection, feelings which may be exaggerated by pregnancy hormones. Why do these situations occur, and how can we work to keep them from happening?

Yesterday afternoon I was checking some listings I had been eying and bidding on through the My eBay interface. I was happy with the auctions, and noticed I'd received a message about a Bumbo seat I had been winning just a few moments before. "eBay Listing Removed" is a dreaded statement, my friend. Once in a while you'll get sellers who've noticed a mistake in their listing, or perhaps acknowledged some missing pieces... although it's a rare entity, most of the time they'll notify the buyer and then make necessary changes. Something a seller should never do, as noted in the agreement upon confirming a post, is to become unhappy with current bid numbers, and pull the auction under false pretenses (while giving a different excuse to eBay).

If you ever decide to sell a few baby items when they're no longer needed, or whether you have extras, take heed. Listing on eBay isn't a game, and you should take everything you state and publish as fact very seriously. Although you might not "get caught", you have cheated another eBay user out of something you posted with your own amounts. If you aren't willing to accept $1 for something, don't post it for $1, post it for what you want!

I am very disappointed in the sellers decision to cancel the auction. And while I cannot say for sure they removed it, it seems a little suspicious. Keep an eye on feedback, and be cautious when bidding when sellers don't give good item locations or feature many sales whatsoever. Onto the next Bumbo chair!
