Berry Delicious

I thought I had made it past the morning sickness, I hoped I wouldn't be making any last minute dashes to the bathroom stalls. Maybe the food aversions were going away, perhaps the smell sensitivity had run its course. What a surprise on my 17th week morning, after days of feeling "reasonable", to find I'm still at the mercy of something weighing in at less than 5 ounces.

A community bathroom shared between 6+ companies, operating out of one office building, is not exactly the most comfortable place to puke your guts out. All I could think this morning, attempting to keep composure, speed walking towards a free stall was "please let it be empty". I had only eaten some cheese and berries for breakfast... nothing that should upset even a delicate stomach. I didn't feel nauseous, but all of a sudden that feeling overcame me and... yeah.

My first doctors appointment last Wednesday went well, and I had even told my midwife that I was starting to feel better. However, to my dismay, I guess our itty bitty baby has other things in mind. It's amazing to think how, while you're growing a human, something as essential as food can be difficult to consume. I worry constantly that I won't gain enough weight if I am unable to keep anything down. I can tell it bothers my husband as well.

On a happier note I did begin working on one crochet project for the little one. It isn't finished, and I had to alter the pattern a little bit. Please note that this image is not my version, but a picture taken directly from the pattern's blog post. Once I'm done I'll post my images!
